mENU DESIGN

The Menu redesign for Storm Castle Cafe demonstrated a understanding of underlying grid use and typographic alignment. To show this the segments of information was clearly separated by placement, weighted lines, and labling making it legible for the viewer. To make the design intriguing, the word ‘cafe’ is repeated along side the right of the menu and the heading ‘Storm Castle Cafe’ is vertical layed ontop of a black background. The typefaces are a mix of sans serifs ‘Citrus Gothic’ used for headings and ‘CoFo Gothic VF’ for body copy while the subheading implemented, ‘Alkaline’, was a serif font to differentiate the type and add a fun feeling to the menu.
